Robert E. Wolin

Robert has been special counsel to the boards of directors of both public and private companies on a variety of securities and internal investigatory matters. He has served as counsel to the Securities and Exchange Commission as Distribution Agent for funds resulting from the settlement of SEC charges including those against T. Boone Pickens and Mesa Limited Partnership. Robert has been a member of the boards of directors of companies in the aviation, finance and entertainment industries.

Robert was a recipient of the Columbia University Teachers College Award for excellence in writing on educational issues. He served as Law Clerk to Honorable James A. Coolahan, U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, 1973-1975. Robert is a member of the board of directors of a number of companies in the aviation and finance fields.

Robert graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Lafayette College. He is a graduate of New York University Law School and subsequent to graduation, served as Law Clerk to a Federal District Judge. Robert served as a member of the legal team of the New York State Special Commission on Attica (McKay Commission) investigating the riot at Attica prison. Based on his experience on the McKay Commission, Robert has written one of the definitive articles on parole in the United States. He has long been interested in educational issues, and is the recipient of the Columbia University Teachers College Award for excellence in writing on educational issues.
