Prior to joining K&L Gates LLP, Oscar spent five years in the structured finance group of a U.S. law firm, where he gained extensive experience advising investment banks acting as arrangers, lead managers, originators and agents on a variety of cross boarder structured finance transactions, including securitisations of trade receivables, auto loans, residential mortgages, commercial mortgages, NPLS and covered bonds.
Prior to joining the firm, Oscar spent a year at a global credit rating agency in London, where he provided day-to-day legal support to rating analysts by interpreting and analysing transaction documents on a variety of securitisations across a number of different asset classes, with particular focus on CMBS.
Oscar also spent time as an in-house legal counsel at a UK-based investment firm, where he worked closely with the special situations team on a wide range of debt capital markets transactions, serving as primary contact with hedge funds.
