K&L Gates Grows Orange County Office with Addition of Commercial Litigation Partner

Orange County - Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Jonathan P. Hersey as a complex commercial litigation and disputes partner in its Orange County office. He joins K&L Gates from CKR Law, where he led the Orange County office.
 
Hersey focuses his diverse litigation practice on complex commercial, business, and intellectual property disputes, including contract breaches, unfair competition, trade secrets, trademark and patent infringement, fraud and bankruptcy, mergers and acquisition matters, lender liability, and protection of creditors’ rights, among others. He has trial experience in numerous states, including California, Delaware, New York, Arizona, and Texas and represents clients in a variety of industries such as technology, manufacturing, distribution, and finance. Hersey also counsels clients in private arbitrations and mediations and has experience defending and prosecuting a number of class action claims.
 
Prior to joining CKR Law, Hersey was a founding and managing partner of litigation firm Slater Hersey & Lieberman LLP. He is also one of the founders of Education Unlimited, Inc., a California corporation that offers academically-oriented summer camps and scholastic programs for high school and grammar school students.

Hersey’s arrival follows the additions of corporate partner Goody Agahi to the Orange County office as well as two teams of environmental and mass tort and intellectual property litigators in the Newark and Austin offices, respectively, earlier this year.
