K&L Gates Expands Energy Practice with Addition of Milan Partner
Milan - Global law firm K&L Gates welcomes Paolo Zamberletti as an energy partner in its Milan office. He joins K&L Gates from DLA Piper.
An experienced energy lawyer with a particular focus in the gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) areas, Zamberletti represents a variety of domestic and international industrial clients and financial institutions in relation to mergers and acquisitions, joint venture transactions, and renewable energy investments as well as the drafting and negotiating of commercial agreements and the trading of energy commodities. He also advises on the construction and management of onshore and offshore LNG terminals, in addition to price review cases involving gas sale and purchase agreements.
“With Paolo’s addition, we continue both the growth of our Milan office — which has now tripled its number of professionals since our 2012 opening — and the strengthening of the pan-European practices in the energy sector,” said Giampaolo Salsi, administrative partner of K&L Gates’ Milan office.
“I am proud to be part of a successful international law firm such as K&L Gates and an experienced and high-value team based in the Milan office,” stated Zamberletti. “I am extremely motivated to contribute to the development of the practice of the firm in Italy and in particular to the energy sector, applying the experience I’ve gained in recent years in this area.”
Zamberletti is the fourth partner addition to K&L Gates’ energy practice in 2016, following the earlier arrivals of Andrea Lucan in Los Angeles, John Gilbert in London, and Robert Grey in Washington, D.C. K&L Gates’ global energy practice assists clients across a broad spectrum of the energy and utilities industries, including electric power, oil and gas, telecommunications, and water and wastewater, on matters such as strategic decisions, policy initiatives, commercial transactions, project financing and development, regulatory compliance, tax matters, and litigation.
K&L Gates comprises approximately 2,000 lawyers globally who practice in fully integrated offices located on five continents. The firm represents leading multinational corporations, growth and middle-market companies, capital markets participants and entrepreneurs in every major industry group as well as public sector entities, educational institutions, philanthropic organizations and individuals.
