India Business Law Journal Names K&L Gates Among Top Firms for India-Related Work in 2022 Report

K&L Gates has been recognized again as a “Significant Player” in India Business Law Journal’s 2022 report spotlighting top foreign law firms with India practices.

Work highlights in this year’s report include the firm’s representation of a Singapore company in an ICC arbitration involving a boiler coal supply contract with an Indian company and our representation of an Indian multi-sectoral conglomerate involved in contractual disputes with the owner of a resort. The report also notes that we were instructed by a major low-cost airline to restructure various aircraft lease agreements and engaged by a client to obtain a patent-to-product candidate (an antibody) that binds HLA-G for cancer treatment.

Also highlighted was the firm’s recently introduced diversity hours policy, which enables our lawyers to count up to 50 hours of time spent on diversity and inclusion-related work (such as mentoring or assisting in the recruitment of diverse or female candidates) towards annual thresholds use to determine bonuses.
