Congressional Meet and Greet with Representative-Elect Victoria Spartz (IN-05-R)
Victoria Spartz was elected in the November 2020 election to represent Indiana’s 5th Congressional district. The 5th congressional district primarily consists of the north side of Indianapolis as well as its eastern and northern suburbs, including Marion, Carmel, Anderson, Noblesville, Fishers, and parts of Kokomo. Victoria Spartz was born in the Soviet Union (now Ukraine) and immigrated to the United States in 2000. Before moving to the United States, Spartz earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from the Kyiv National Economic University. She also earned a Master of Accountancy from Indiana University – Indianapolis.
Representative-Elect Spartz served as the Chief Financial Officer in the Indiana Attorney General’s office. She was an adjunct faculty at the Kelley School of Business and a Big 4 auditor. She also owns real estate and farming businesses. In 2017, she was appointed to the Indiana Senate in the 20th District after the incumbent resigned. After Rep. Susan Brooks decided not to seek re-election for the 5th congressional district seat in 2019, Ms. Spartz announced her candidacy, running on healthcare reform, opposition to the ACA, low government spending, and defending the second amendment.
Representative-Elect Spartz and her husband currently reside in Indiana with their two children.
