Carl Hinze is a partner in the firm’s Corporate practice. He advises on complex corporate (equity and debt) transactions, commercial matters and disputes. Carl has a particular focus on the energy, infrastructure, technology, healthcare, education, agriculture, financial services, and manufacturing sectors.
Carl is a trusted adviser in managing contract risk, executing mergers and acquisitions, and implementing joint ventures (both incorporated and unincorporated) and complex alliance arrangements. He has advised international and Australian companies as well as founders and investors on many buy-side and sell-side transactions.
He has vast experience advising on Australia’s foreign investment regulatory framework, as well as strong skills in transaction structuring, project management and coordination. He is an expert negotiator and regularly advises leaders of public and private companies on governance issues.
Carl has also represented multinational clients in large-scale international commercial arbitrations in mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore for clients in the energy, manufacturing, resources, construction and engineering sectors.
